Equilibration

marks the preparation and adjustment of a sensor (regardless of being single-use or reusable) that needs to take place before implementation. Equilibration is generally compromised of holding the sensor in medium or buffer solution for a defined duration of time in order to activate the sensor surface for the measuring process ¹².
