Tube welding machines

are used to connect two thermoplastic tubes of the same diameter without the use of aseptic connectors (see aseptic connections and aseptic welding). First, the tubes are placed parallel, in opposite directions in the provided holder, fixed, and pressed together while a preheated and defined blade, depending on the tube quality, cuts the tubes. After the cutting, the cut tubes are sealed at the blade. After a cooling phase, the two tube endings are aseptically connected. The whole welding process takes between 1 and 4 minutes depending on the tube material and tube diameter ⁶⁷.
