Additives

are chemical substances that are, among others, used in the processing of polymers, for example of bags, in order to increase the stability of the plastic material or to facilitate their shaping and molding. Antioxidants capable of protecting plastics from oxygen or slipping agents (lubricants), as well as color additives, are also counted as additives ^{2, 3}.
